On July 31, 2012, Vancouver book publisher Whitecap Books Ltd. was acquired in a share purchase by Toronto-based Fitzhenry & Whiteside Limited.

Whitecap Books and its shareholders were represented in the transaction by Timothy W. Murphy and Audrey C. Lim of Murphy & Company.
